WHAT IS NEURO - ACUPUNCTURE?

Neurological Acupuncture, also known as Neuro-Acupuncture or Scalp-Acupuncture, is a modern component of Chinese Medicine that involves the use of needles placed on the scalp of the head.

This technique is used to treat neurological disorders mostly but can also be highly effective to treat other numerous illnesses in the human body, from pain management to chronic illnesses.

This advanced Acupuncture technique integrates Daoyin or fitness into the Neuro-Acupuncture treatment sessions obtaining incredible and outstanding results.

This technique has yielded fantastic results for thousands of patients and as a result it has become recognized worldwide as highly effective method to treat patients without the need of occidental medication or any surgical procedure.

Usually there is less pain associated with Scalp-Acupuncture than with Body Acupuncture but it can be more convenient for some patients as they can receive treatment in any position and in most cases without the need to remove their clothes. Also, in most cases conditions results tend to be faster than with traditional Acupuncture or occidental traditional medicine.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

The initial evaluation and treatment may take up to 90 minutes. Subsequent appointments may take from half-hour to an hour.

A common treatment plan for a single complaint would typically involve one or two treatments a week for simple cases but for chronic cases the treatment plan would involve from three to four treatments a week or more.

The number of treatments will depend on the condition being treated and its severity.

THE UTILIZATION OF THE NEEDLES USED DURING TREATMENT

* Needle insertion. Acupuncture needles are inserted to various depths at strategic points on the body. The needles are very thin, so the insertion usually causes little to no discomfort.

* Needle manipulation. Your practitioner may gently move or twirl the needles after placement or apply heat or mild electrical pulses to the needles.

* Needle removal. In most cases, the needles remain in place for 10 to 20 minutes while you lie still and relax.

There is usually no discomfort when the needles are removed.

POST PROCEDURE

After an Acupuncture session some people will feel relaxed and others energized, but not every patient responds to Acupuncture. If your symptoms don't begin to improve within a few weeks, Acupuncture may not be right for you.

RESULTS

The benefits of Acupuncture are sometimes difficult to measure but many people find it helpful as a means to control a variety of painful and life altering conditions.
Acupuncture has very few side effects if any and it may be to some cases a more suitable approach than more-conventional methods, including some surgical procedures unless there are ruptures or tissue tears
